helicobacter inside the stomachAssalamualaikum w.b.t,
Can you imagines, how these tiny little culprits can cause very dramatic effect (bad ones) to the human organism. They can’t be seen with our naked eyes, only with the aid of microscope, they can be observed and studied.
People who are thinking (mutaffakkirin) and have a good mind (ulul albab) will start to wonder, there must be one and only creator Allah The Almighty, who creates all these amazing creations found not limited on earth but in the whole universe, from the very large animals (elephant) to pico-sized virus (picornaviruses). Subhanallah, I feel very small and weak because even though we are 1000x times larger than those microbes but still, we can be defeated by them when they invade and colonize our body and as a consequences lead to manifestation of devastating diseases to human population.
look,think,and learn from allah's creations.
Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting and lying down on their sides and think deeply about the creation of the sky and earth (saying); “ Our lord!! You have not created all this without purpose, glory to You!. Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire (3:191)
Allah told us to open up our eyes and look around the world to see the greatness of his creation and learn something from them. Microbes taught me that,,we should be humble as we don’t have the power to avoid living in germ-free environment and in fact, we depend on these microbes for normal functioning of the organs and tissues inside the body. For example, some strains of E.coli and Lactobacillus are predominantly living in the intestinal tract as normal microflora, and their presence help in fermenting food that we consume everyday.

The normal microbial population that colonizes the human body is numerous and diverse. But don’t be afraid knowing about this fact, because Allah ar-rahman already equipped human with very firm and solid protecting mechanism which includes; mechanical factors (peristalsis of gut), chemical factors (HCL of the stomach), bactericidal substances of skin and mucous, and immunologic mechanism (production of antibody).
white blood cells (protective mechanism) which help in process of 'eating' (phagocytosis) foreign invaders which enter our body.
Bacteria had taught me some important lesson in this life. Bacteria taught me, to be able to penetrate, invade and colonize the ‘world’, we must have strategies, must prepare ourselves with factors that can alter the function of a system. Knowledge, physical strength, power and of course with the wills of Allah, muslim can conquer back this world and fills it with islam! ;)
As for bacteria, they have many antigenic factors –- protected by their slimy capsule, waxy cell wall layer, production of lethal toxin, aggressive enzymes, flagella for locomotion and other structure which protect bacteria from being killed by human protector mechanism.
Besides that, these tiny-little-microbes thought me not to underestimate others just by the way they look or their size. Don’t be afraid to dream beyond our imagination, because sometimes we never know what will happen in the future and we might be surprise to see the effect of our effort towards realizing the dreams. Our dreams are -- Victories shall belong to us,muslim one day as Allah had promised us in the Quran and we must have faith in it. Every single of us DO plays significant roles in order for us to achieve the dreams. Take the opportunity while we’re still given the air to breath, the water to drink, the heart to keep on pumping, to play our individuality role together to change the world into a better place.
Microbes thought me also,,about the importance of numbers in this life. Let us consider about bacteria’s size which is 1000x times smaller than us, of course doesn’t plays any significant role if only ONE microbe successfully enter the body and they can’t cause any harm to human organism.
Unfortunately, human had forgotten many important values of this life and perhaps no longer practicing it anymore; which is the urgent need of co-operation and unity among the same species. If millions of bacteria unite together and destroy the human being, they might win this battle and take control over the body. How this tiny-little-microbes had bring a lot of ideas for us to think of and learn from it.
