"i rather be in prison"..

Assalamualaikum w.b.t,

He said: ‘ O my Lord! PRISON is dearer to me than that to which they invite me. If YOU didn’t turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and be one (of those who commit sin and deserve blame or those who do deeds) of the ignorant. (12:33)

It was exactly the same quote from a movie called ayat-ayat cinta which I watched recently with my sister. A weirdo pak cik who stayed in the same jail with fahri gave him some motivational phrases and some other good advises, since fahri was all-stressed-up and angry with the accusation on him. He was blamed for raping a woman and causing her to pregnant (the woman actually had a crush on him and feel rejected when fahri ignored her love letter). *for more details, watch the movie by yourself :p hehe..(some of the clips from the movie where the weirdo pakcik is advising fahri)

When we recalled back asbabul nuzul of this verse; it tells us how the handsome prophet’s Yusuf rather choose to be lock-up in jail than being accused for something that he never done. He denied all accuses by zulaikha who tells a lie about the incident. Zulaikha told her husband that yusuf was trying to seduce her. But the truth was totally different, since yusuf was a very nice, handsome and good-looking man, every girls who glance at him, will falls for him just by the way he look and his appearance. These can be approved by the verse before it :

And women in the city said : “the wife of Al-Aziz is seeking to seduce her (slave) young man, indeed she loves him violently; verily we see her in plain error. (12:30)

So when she heard of their accusation, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them; she gave each one of them a knife (to cut the foodstuff with), and she said to Yusuf : “come out before them.” Then, when they saw him, they exalted him (at his beauty) and (in their astonishment) cut their hands. They said: “how perfect is Allah. No man is this! This is none other than a noble angel (12:31)

She said: “this is he about whom you did blame me, and I did seek to seduce him but he refused. And now if he refuses to obey my order, he shall certainly be cast into prison, and will be one of those who are disgraced. (12:32)

We can see how dare and brave yusuf to stick with his stand; he rather be in prison to avoid sins. Nowadays, we can see many men likely to choose to be seduced by girls because they lack of shield to protect them from falling into the deadly sin. Men have 9 brains (akal) and 1 desires (nafsu) while woman have 9 desires and only one brain. Surely men have the power to stop before anything unimaginable things could start.

Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god)? And Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember? (45:23)

Trying our best to stay away from traps made by Satan by avoiding things which can lead us to be disobedience to Allah is the best effort we should do. Women are the easiest target for Satan to use them to fulfil their job. Men are the victims of Satan works most of the times. Only to Allah that we relies on, seek guidances and protections. Allah will help those who help his deen (religion)

Men are the leaders. As in islam, they are the most suitable person to be Imam. We are lacking men who can lead us (women) to be in the right track back, a path of the real Islam is. Women will drag 4 men together with her into the hell if these men fails or just being an ignorance of their responsibilities to advices and teach us (women). Those 4 men are, husband, father, son, brothers @ relatives.

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden thing) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what they do. (24:30)

But those above are not putting a burden into just one’s shoulder (men) alone, at the same time, the same goes to women. They should be extra careful by the way they dressing, make-up, walking, talking, or anything that she did. Women are beautiful in every aspect that they do. Sometimes when we talk softly/childishly we could makes men melt just by hearing our voice.

We should be pity of men, because they are trying hard to control themselves from commit a sin cause by us (women), can you imagine how in the world they can hold with their iman when these men are surrounded and flooded with the sexy women everywhere around him. Just take example with our own country. How many girls are simply going out without proper clothing and no hijab covering their hairs? If the hairs are covers, they might be improper way covering it by uncover their breast and neck..what’s the point of wearing, if it just like that?

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent and to draw their veils all over juyubihinna (their bodies, faces, necks, and bosoms)….(24:31)

All of us should play our part to be a good muslim or muslimah. Remember Allah in every single thing that we do. Allah is the most knower and he knew very well what is inside our heart. So, let’s clean our heart from dirt (sins) that could make our heart harder than the stones.

Bad statements are for bad people (or bad women for bad men) and bad people for bad statements (or bad men for bad women). good statements are for good people (or good women for good men) and good people for good statements (or good men for good women): such (good people) are innocent of (every) bad statement which they say; for them is Forgiveness, and Rizqun Karim (generous provision i.e. Paradise). (24:26)
